Description:
In this course, we will start from basics and give an introduction to basic results on Riemann surfaces, two-dimensional hyperbolic geometry and Teichmüller space of Riemann surfaces. We will also include several topics like harmonic map construction for Teichmüller space, Bers’ embedding theorem, Thurston’s classification of mapping classes and so on.

Complex analysis and basic algebraic topology
