Description:

 

 

I will give an introduction to the study of second-order elliptic partial differential equations (PDE), both in domains in Euclidean space and on Riemannian manifolds. I will discuss harmonic functions, Sobolev spaces and weak solutions, Schauder estimates, L^p estimates, and the De Giorgi-Nash-Moser theorem, plus extra topics if time permits.

 
 

 

Prerequisite:

 

 

Familiarity with real analysis and some functional analysis.
