Description:

 

 

We will mainly discuss the recent progress on the long time behavior of the gravity water waves system in both 2D and 3D. The central question is whether there exists a nontrivial global solution if the initial data is suitably smooth and small. To improve the understanding of this problem, we will also discuss some related toy models.

 

 

 

Prerequisite:

 

 

Basic knowledge about PDE and Harmonic analysis.
