Distribution of point sets over sphere has been attracted not only by mathematicians but also by physicists and engineers. In this talk, a short introduction on different point sets over the unit sphere is given. We mainly discussed a series of spherical optimization problems. We show geometric properties, algebraic characterizations and open problems of well known point sets. Furthermore, we draw our attention on numerical integration over the unit sphere by employing these point sets as quadrature nodes. Then, various integrands are introduced and analyzed. In particular, we investigate singular integral and oscillatory integral over the unit sphere. Moreover, theoretical and numerical results are demonstrated vividly by using many nodes over the unit sphere.

安 聪沛,暨南大学数学系副教授,先后本科硕士毕业于中南大学(师从向淑 晃),博士毕业于香港理工大学(师从Xiaojun Chen和 IAN H. SLOAN)。近年主要从事球面t-设计、球面数值计算、最优化的研究 工作。在SIAM J. Numer. Anal. Comput. Math. Appl.,Appl Comput. J. 发表论文多篇。先后主持国家自然科学基金2项,广东省自然科学基金1项,中央高校基金2项,参与国家基金2项。硕士生导师,广东省计算数学会常务理事兼副秘书长,广东省高性能计算学会会员。多次应邀访问香港中文大学,香港理工大学,澳门科技大学,上海交通大学,中南大学,华中科技大学,范德比尔特大学。
