Description:

 

The course will provide an introduction to smooth dynamical systems with emphasis on fibered dynamical systems. We will start with a quick overview of smooth dynamical systems which exhibit hyperbolic (a.k.a. chaotic) behavior. Then will discuss more advanced topics which involve fibered dynamics and dynamical surgery techniques. Various open problems will be discussed.

 

 

Prerequisite:

 

Basic analysis and topology courses. Some knowledge of algebraic topology and dynamics will be helpful but not required
