A central problem in modern theoretical physics is to find a framework where quantum mechanics and general relativity works consistently. String theory is the most promising candidate, potentially providing a beautiful unification of all fundamental interactions in nature. This course will cover most topics on bosonic strings. Depending on time and the audience, we will also try to discuss some basic aspects of superstring, as well as some advanced topics, including black holes and gauge/Gravity dualities.
