Introduction to perturbative quantum field theory and geometric application. This is a math oriented course discussing the recent development of homological method in quantum field theory. We will discuss the perturbative renormalization techniques which allows us to understand rigorously certain aspects of the infinite dimensional feature of quantum field theory. The mathematical structures of observable theory and correlation functions are formulated as quantum deformations of factorization algebras. As geometric applications, we will explain its relations to index theorem in lower dimensions as well as topological field theory.
