Description:

I will start with the d-bar equation with compact support, the Ehrenpreis proof of the Hartogs theorem, and the Poincare theorem that a bidisk is not biholomorphic to the ball.  Then I will focus on the local theory of complex analytic varieties. This is an introduction course to Several Complex Variables, is, in particular, prepared  to those graduate students who will participate in the special semester on Several Complex Variables in the Spring of 2014 at Tsinghua University and San Yan Mathematical Center.

Prerequisite:

One complex variable, functional analysis and basic algebra.
