We will cover a wide range of topics in geometry. These include: basic spherical, hyperbolic geometries and integral geometry, convexity, ergodicity, variational principles for geometric problems, Cauchy rigidity theorem, Hadwiger theorem, Steiner’s theorem, Crofton formulae, circle packing and their rigidity, Steinitz realization theorem, Brunn-Minkowski inequatlity, billiards and geodesic flows. We may also cover some basic optimal transportations if time permits.
The goal is to introduce a wide range of interesting geometric phenomena. This is intended to be a self-contained course suitable to graduate and undergraduate students.
