Course description:

This is a small group independent study style course. Up to five students in a group study the subject on the title using a book or a paper. Students report once a week with my presence and my advice. Students are encouraged to have interaction together often. If the levels of the students are quite different, I will split them to two subgroups. The main topics is admissible representations of GL_2 over a local field and/or autormorphic representations on GL_2 and L-functions.

 

Prerequisite:

Basic Number Theory or representations of finite (compact) groups.
