Description:
We give an introduction to some analytic methods in complex algebraic geometry, including singular metrics, multiplier ideal sheaves, Hormander’s L2 estimates, complex Monge-Ampere equations, etc. We then discuss their applications in the construction of holomorphic sections, which include the following topics: effective very ampleness of adjoint bundles, Matsusaka’s big theorem, the invariance of plurigenera, etc.
